JOBSON 3 has a REST API for recruitment and people records and an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT.The REST API is included in the price, with no quota. It uses the agency's API key and returns RFC 9457 errors. The MCP server is part of the Power add-on. OpenAPI documentation is in the app after login.

REST API

Typical use: the form on the agency's careers site sends candidates straight into JOBSON, or the people records are synced regularly with another system.

Power add-on

MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to applications. JOBSON has its own MCP server, so you add it to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector and the assistant works with your agency's data through the same tools as the AI assistant in the app.

  • Endpoint

    POST /mcp

  • Token tied to a person

    It is created by a user with the right permission in the app. A token can only narrow permissions, never extend them. Valid for 30, 90 or 365 days.

  • Write access only with explicit permission

    Without it, the token can only read data.

  • Quotas by Power add-on

    10,000 / 20,000 / 50,000 tool calls a month. initialize, ping and tools/list don't count. You get an alert at 90 %; once the quota is used up, calls are rejected.

  • Credits

    AI operations triggered by the tools are paid with credits, as in the app.

  • Log

    Every call can be traced in the change history.

Authentication and errors

The REST API uses the agency's API key in the Authorization: Bearer header. An administrator creates the key in the recruitment or import settings, and each key belongs to one group of scopes. The API returns errors in RFC 9457 format with a code and a message key.

The key in the example is made up. Never put a real key into code that runs in the browser.
